Mariah’s Halloween Cake Pops

 It’s October, which means that spooky season is finally here. The time to eat a bunch of snacks and treats. The time to dress up in funny, iconic, and creative costumes. It’s the season to get ready for the big Halloween party. 

Hosting a Halloween party can be stressful, because everyone coming over expecting you to outdo yourself, with decorations and music but most importantly the snacks. Are you having trouble coming up with cute and yummy desserts? Well this recipe for Cake Pops is just want you need!                              

 

INGREDIENTS FOR MARIAH’S HALLOWEEN CAKE POPS 

  • 2 eggs 
  • ½ cup of milk 
  • ¼ cup of oil
  • Orange food dye 
  • White and orange melting chocolate
  • Candy eyes
  • Straw sticks
  • Black decorative icing 
  • Black and orange sprinkles 
  • White frosting
  • 8×10 circular pan 

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MARIAH’S HALLOWEEN CAKE POPS

  • Pour box of white cake in a bowl  
  • Add in the eggs, oil, milk, and the orange food dye 
  • Mix
  • Pour into one circular pan (8×10)
  • Bake at 325 degrees until the top is golden brown 
  • Put cake into a zip lock bag and roll it out with a rolling pin
  • Add entire package of frosting to the bag and mix it well 
  • Make balls out of the cake mix in the bag until there is nothing left 
  • Melt the white and orange chocolates in 10 second increments until melted- make sure to not cook it to much
  • Take one of the stick straws and dip one end of it into the chocolate and then put in into the cake ball 
  • Put in refrigerator for 5 minutes 
  • When you take them out dip the balls into the chocolate until it is completely covered (your choice of color)
  • Decorate!

 

If you are stumped on how to decorate them here is a suggestion from Mariah herself,  “Make the whole thing orange, put the white chocolate in a plastic bag and cut the tip of it off and drizzle it on the cake pop to make it look like a mummy!”  

According to Olivia Hewitt and Kyla Rodrigues, two of Mariah’s close friends, who have had them say “It is so good and moist.” Her cake pops are highly recommended because of how they are decorated and the taste of them. They can be good not only for Halloween but also other holidays and celebrations.
