Red Hot Red Sox Sweep Yankees

by Nick Moore

The Red Sox seem unstoppable this September. They are four games ahead in the AL East and they aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. Boston just completed a huge sweep against their long time rival, the New York Yankees. All four games in the series were extremely entertaining, each being close and most of them coming down to the last couple of innings. With the playoffs on the horizon, this divisional and rival sweep will give them momentum leading into the AL East race.

Leading the pack of the Red Hot Red Sox is superstar Hanley Ramirez. In the first game against New York, Ramirez hit a 9th inning walk-off home run with two outs. In game four against the Yankees, Ramirez hit a pair of home runs to help come back from a 3-0 and 5-2 deficit and ended up winning the game.

The way that the Red Sox have been playing recently makes it seem like no one will be able to stop them. Diehard Red Sox fan Andrew Blanchette had this to say about the Red Sox, “I’ve tried to watch every game this season and I can’t wait for the postseason.”

Sox fan Thomas Kummer said, “Right now the offense is streaking, and if we keep up this offense into the postseason we have a chance to win another World Series.”

The fans all agree, the Red Sox are on fire and if they keep rolling like this into the postseason, they have a chance to win it all.
